In addition to our Plate and Frame heat Exchangers we are pleased to offer Furlong High-k shell and tube heat exchangers.
These units are engineered for optimal performance when paired with Baltimore Aircoil cooling towers. The HIGH-k Heat Exchanger is the result of Furlong's commitment to product innovation through engineering research and development. Furlong has long recognized the need for a more efficient shell and tube heat exchanger and in 1979 entered into a research and development program to utilize heat transfer enhancement technology to meet this objective. The result of this program is the HIGH-k Heat Exchanger, which provides overall heat transfer coefficients (k) two to three times greater than those commonly associated with conventional shell and tube heat exchangers. All units are equipped with Marine Water Boxes and "Straight Through" copper tubes to allow easy cleaning of the "open" side. The tubes feature an enhanced surface to promote turbulence. The turbulent flow enhances heat transfer and reduces tube fouling!
